To highlight a few
Extreme Home Makeover - Wounded Vet from Iraq Project - Career Days High Schools
As you may know, Extreme Home Makeover is usually about helping those who need help. Goal is to remove and build a new home in 7 days by working 24/7. Again, thanks to all our industry and all the volunteers, many worked in excess of 16 hour days over Super Bowl weekend. Special Thanks to Old Pueblo Masonry, Luis Rojo Masonry, Pablo Rojo Masonry, Clyde Norvell Masonry, Powell Pavers & their employees and family members who participated as well.

Vet project- Many hands make light work, well we had plenty of volunteers, but still was a lot
of work. The construction industry really stepped up on this one. All materials were donated- concrete, rebar, masonry, excavation, concrete pumping. Approximately 6 masonry companies loaned out mixers and tools, crews donated their time as well. Sun Valley Masonry, Old Pueblo Masonry, The Runde Company, Cox Masonry, Luis Rojo Masonry, Pablo Rojo Masonry, Defoe Excavating.
Please consider using these folks when you need masonry or concrete work because they support your community.

School Career Days- The construction industry puts together a job fair once a year at the Rodeo grounds here in Tucson. High Schools from all over send their students to get exposed to what jobs are out there for those that College may not be in their plans. Most displays are hands on. Naturally we help with the Masonry section, but virtually the entire gambit of construction jobs is represented with an excess of 2000 students each event. It's a time when competition between masons and masonry suppliers is put aside, to help our youth find a great vocation. While many companies help out, Special thanks goes to Sun Valley Masonry & The Runde Companies.
